Step inside a 15-metre immersive dome and find yourself at the bottom of the Antarctic Ocean.

Prof. Jenny Gales is a marine geoscientist at the University of Plymouth whose EU-funded research has taken her to some of the most remote and extraordinary places on Earth, mapping hidden underwater canyons, volcanoes and the geological processes that shape our ocean floor.
In Antarctica: Ocean Exploration Uncovered  she brings that expedition to Devonport, putting you right in the heart of the deep sea through this stunning 360 degree dome experience.

There are two showings on the night, each with a different supporting programme.

5pm — Family Showing
Prof. Jenny Gales' Antarctic Ocean film, followed by All About Sharks - a special illustrated talk and 360 degree dome film with Shark Trust team member and award-winning underwater photographer Caroline Robertson-Brown.
Caroline will talk about diving with Caribbean Reef Sharks, Manta Rays and Hammerhead sharks, demonstrate her dive equipment, and share stunning 360 footage from A Shark Story, a new film by Real Ideas in collaboration with The Shark Trust.
Perfect for families and younger visitors. Suitable for all ages.

7pm — Evening Showing
Prof. Jenny Gales' Antarctic Ocean film, followed by an exclusive free screening of Our Story - a breath-taking 50-minute immersive experience narrated by Sir David Attenborough.
Produced by Real Ideas and award-winning Bristol-based Open Planet Studios, Our Story was previously shown at the Natural History Museum in London. It combines gigantic animations, stunning projections and full 360 degree immersion to tell the story of ourselves and our planet, with an original score by Tony Award and Olivier Award-nominated composer Nick Powell.
Recommended for adults and older children.
